WIC supports gender equality police’s localization process and establishment of gender equality institutional mechanisms on local government level. WIC had cooperated with three municipalities (Akhmeta,Khashuri, and Borjomi) by support of GIZ.
Cooperation process with municipalities has comprised with meetings to inform them regarding national, international obligations, to identify local problems in gender perspective, and to form municipal gender equality plans that foreseen all the problems prioritized by local government representatives and Gender equality council’s members.
Above-mentioned three municipality has adopted municipal gender equality action plans; Moreover, Akmeta municipality has allocated money in the local budget to implement activities outlined in the municipal gender equality plan.
Two documents: The instruction for self-government to form local gender equality institutional mechanisms and job description for responsible person on gender equality issueswere prepared with cooperation of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and were distributed among municipalities in January 2017.

On July 26, 2019, representatives of the Women's Information Center organized a focus group in Kobuleti Municipality that included local leaders and women entrepreneurs who use / do not use the Women's Room Service.The purpose of the focus group was to evaluate the use of women's room services in the municipality for effective planning of further work.
